Midafternoon update
Hey everyone! Just a quick update. Mom's doing pretty well today, and her surgeon came by this morning and said he'll probably discharge her in a day or two! Awesome! She's been doing a little more walking and she's more alert, but she's also been pretty anxious. As much as we have all been enjoying your visits, it seems like Mom becomes more anxious when there's more than one person around, even family. So we appreciate your visits, but we were thinking it might be best to have it just be family (in a limited number) for the next couple of days. Thanks for your continued support and I'll try to give you a better update later tonight.

Lindsey,
ReplyDeleteWe heard the news the other day from Matt's parents and Marilyn's mom told us about the blog. We're very sorry to hear that your mom is going through this. We'll keep her and your family in our prayers. Let us know if you need anything.
Your niece is big, how old is she? She is gorgeous.

We are so thankful your Mom will soon be home. She is in our prayers still.

Your updates have been outstanding & kept all of us informed. Our prayers have been with each of you. We had planned to come to the hospital tonight to visit but having read the blog we will send our love & hugs via this message. It is a blessing for all that Pam continues to make such good progress.

ReplyDeleteWe are anxious to see her.

You know Pam, you don't have to go to the hospital in order to get us to come and visit. Plus, it doesn't sound like the meds are producing the stories that I am used to from Brew patients. I don't think I would be allowed to stay overnight either. So, I send all the love from the Barker Family. P.S. It is a bummer you can't remember the helicpter ride! Love Ben

I am so happy to hear that she is steadily improving and that she won't need radiation. She is really being blessed. Our prayers will continue.
