The Passing of an Elect Lady
This will be our final entry on Pam's Blog. She left us last night around 10:40 with her family and one very special doctor gathered around her. Oh, how she will be missed but what a legacy of friends and family she leaves behind. We love and appreciate the so very many who tended to her in her final days and who have lent their support and prayers in behalf of our family. The PamBrewFanClub became our friend and a source of great comfort. We will miss your words of encouragement and love but will monitor it for the next few days. Then, it too will be laid to rest. Thanks to all of you for what you've done for our beloved Pam and our family. - Reggie

I do not know your family personally - though am connected. I am a daughter in law to Kathy Thomas Murdoch who grew up with Pam and were dear friends. I am also a daughter of Dean and Nancy Allen who also know your family well. (Along with the rest of the Wilmington Allen's). I have been inspired reading her blog and hearing of her fight over the past few months. I too have a testimony of eternal families and hope you find peace in that also. I am so sorry for your loss.

We were so blessed to count Pam as a friend. She was always so kind, loving, and willing to open her home and heart to our family once a year for our annual trip to Wilmington. Thanks Dave & Amber for being such dear friends. We love you and send our thoughts and prayers with you.
ReplyDeleteWe send our love to all the family at this time of huge change for you. It is such a comfort to have a testimony of the gospel plan, to know that Pam and Ryan are together and preparing for the rest of you. Our prayers continue in your behalf.
ReplyDeleteI don’t know you and you don’t know me, but we both knew Pam and that’s our common thread. What a thread. Even though I grew up with Pam, knew her Mom and Dad, and my brother Kerry is good friends with “Corky”, it has been years since I had spoken with her. However, a little over a year ago my husband passed away and I received a lovely sympathy card containing an even lovelier letter. May I share a little of what she said to me…
ReplyDelete“Yes, you and I both know this is not the end. We both know our Heavenly Father loves us. We know that we are blessed to have been sealed in the temple and that our families are forever. We know that this is just a temporary separation, and yet we still miss our loved one and long for them to be here with us……Believe me, I understand how Heavenly Father blesses us through our most difficult times.”
What a blessing to know that your Mom, Wife, Sister, and our Friend knows and has a testimony of why she was here and what comes afterward. What a blessing to know that, through your faithfulness, you will be able to enjoy that same wonderful family relationship in the next life.
We in Utah send our heartfelt sympathy and prayers at the loss of this special lady. May you know of our love for her and for the times we shared growing up together. May you receive the blessings she well understood come at difficult times like this. Much love ~ Susan Fagan
My heart and prayers are with you and the family...I love you all.

Reggie and family,
ReplyDeleteI am truly sorry for your loss. I feel blessed that I had the chance to meet this incredible woman. In my two days of caring for her it was unremarkable the amount of love and support she had surrounding her. It is evident how amazing of a lady Pam truly was. Again, I am very sorry for your loss and know that you all are in my thoughts and prayers.

I consider it one of the greatest blessings of my life - the day I became friends with Staci Brew. If you become friends with one Brew, you are immediately engulfed in all of that great Brew love. Pam and I talked many, many times about the blessings that come out of great tragedy. We felt that our friendship was one of those blessings that came out of Ryan's illness and eventual passing. I know that many blessings are in store for your family. I can physically feel the love of our Savior when I am in your home. I am SO grateful for Pam having been in my life. I know that she will continue to have a great influence on me as I try to follow her incredible example of how to be a loving, kind, loyal and true friend. I love her dearly and always will!
ReplyDeleteAll of the Howington family take great joy in joining the throngs of people who know and love the Brews. May our friendship with all of you continue to grow over the years to come.
Love always,
Julie, Cy and all of the How-How's
